| Before and after shearing...wow! This spring we had the girls sheared several weeks before they were due to lamb. I was glad we did because soon after lambing we had a few weeks of really warm weather for us at this time of the year. They seemed to be thankful to be rid of their winter coats. I have to say that it is quite a transformation though. After being used to seeing them all wooly it was certainly strange to look at them all "naked!" I am having a good time getting their wool processed though, all by hand. It is so soft, I love it! I even needle felted some and will have to get some pictures up...I am having too much fun. |
